last saturday we went on a family outing with halmonee and harabohjee to venice beach. ironically, after a week of beautiful, sunny days in the 80's, this day happened to be cold and windy. so we got out of the car, quickly took some pictures, ran back in the car, and had a cozy picnic inside.
ethan kept himself entertained by running up and down the ramp to the lifeguard station. the only problem was he was wearing crocs and the ramp was full of sand. so over and over again, he kept slipping down the ramp and falling in the sand. this picture was taken after one of the bigger falls. i think he still has sand in his ears...
as usual, ethan quickly made a friend this day. she was half a year older and he would copy every move she made. here he is looking to see what she would do next.
no family outing would be complete without a touristy pose for the camera. although short, it was a fun trip...and i highly recommend going out with your family on a cold day and having a picnic in the back of your car.
tonight ethan decided that he didn't need to wear pants around the house. so he took them off and spent the evening in a diaper and tube socks.
he also decided that it was his night to do the dishes. he spent quite a while just trying to get the gloves on. he would get one side on, and then, while trying to get the other one on, the first one would fall off. it was quite a funny scene to observe.
for the record, i have never asked ethan to do the dishes...not yet anyways.
later on in the evening he decided to use his new favorite toy (a keychain flashlight) to check for belly button lint.
ethan's pants-less adventure put a smile on his face.
